Conclusion
While the world has built Germany into the bad guys of WWII, not all who fought for Germany were bad. I too believed that Germany was the reason for World War Two and all the destruction and chaos that accompanied it was due to Germany. This, however, is not the case. While Hitler used the ideas of Fascism to manipulate the people and give them hope, he put up an inspiring front that caused the people to believe they were serving their country. Many took a stand and volunteered or were drafted to help pull Germany from the Depression by showing the world Germany is still a super power.
Many of those who volunteered were regular citizens of Germany, ready, able and willing to fight to help a country still in shock from the First World War. Most of these people were just looking to better their future and their future generations. Hitler was after land, power and money, but the people of Germany wanted nothing more than to flourish again, Hitler gave them a chance to get what they desired. With nothing left, the country opened to what would soon become a tyrant who would lead Germany to its second destruction and a division that would leave long lasting effects.
